Bath Life Wedding Guide Issue 18 March 2013 - wedding photographer

Bath Life Magazine issued their annual wedding guide. And I am proud to say that not only did they published an interview with me but also one of my images also made the cover! It was taken at a wedding just outside Nottingham last September. I posed the couple in a corn field right outside the venue.

You can click on the below interview to see it large. It is about what makes a great wedding photo, how to capture moments, how to overcome camera shyness and most importantly what to consider when choosing a wedding photographer.

Contact me on 07984 029 639 for an informal chat should you be interested in hiring me as your wedding photographer. I'm more than happy to meet and show you my portfolio before you make your decision and answer your questions.

Creative Wedding Photography in Bath Bristol Somerset

Digital photography is exciting but also frustrating at the same time. Almost everybody has a digital camera of some sorts, whether it is on a mobile phone or a compact camera. The market is not only saturated with cameras but also with digital photographs.

The growing belief that everyone can take photographs takes the importance of professional photographers. More and more people choose friends or friends of friends to photograph their weddings.

So why book a professional wedding photographer like me for the extremely romantic and possibly  most emotionally important day of your life?

I am the 'new kid on the block' in the group of wedding photographers located in Bath, Someset. I am a romatic girl and a creative person. My passion is photographing people. Observing scenes, details and emotions. Planning and preparing fun ideas that make the most of beautiful outfits, settings and venues. I don't like bland photographs. I like interesting contrasts, beautiful light, the power of the detail and fun characters.

What do I do to produce great wedding photography?

1. Total transparency with the bride and groom to be. The day's photography will not be left to chance. Everything will be discussed up front: the day's order of events, what set portraits are required (group- & family shots), a convenient time slot for the personal portraits as well as must have shots of the day. When the day comes the couple can simply relax and enjoy, knowing that everything is being taken care off.

2. I always visit the venue shortly before the wedding day to find out about lighting conditions as well as scouting the venue and area around for beautiful or dramatic scenes and details that can be used in the portraits. This can be a corn field, interesting architecture, dramatic windows or colourful walls.

3. I'm not afraid to suggest creative ideas. I have a selection of fun props like a clapper board or chalk board speech bubbles. Also posing can make a lot of difference to a photograph. Most people really enjoy a bit of fun posing.

4. I am myself, always. I am as excited about a wedding as the couple themselves and hope that they can see the passion I have for creating unique and stunning photography.

I tell my clients to have fun with the photography on their special day! You pay a professional to cover the day, you may as well make the most of the photographer's skills and qualities and end up with photographs that are packed full of memories of happiness!

I am based in Bath and also cover Bristol and Somerset. Check out my website for great packages and prices.
